Salir do Porto – Portugal – travel with us!
Continuing our Silver Coast Walks on Paul and Kerry’s Gap Year

We had a morning free and it was a lovely day, so another walk was beckoning.

This lovely sheltered bay also has the largest sand dune in Portugal

Shaped like a horseshoe this little cove is protected from the Atlantic swell and so is safer for swimming. It is also more suitable for small children as a result.

Paul is working as a kitesurf instructor in Portugal and he was giving a lesson in the afternoon, so we made the most of the morning on this day.

There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around this bay and all were busy with locals and tourists happily snacking in the sunshine.

Just a light lunch for me, Paul had the hotdog special.

Only a 40 minute drive from us, I would recommend this lovely spot. The water is shallow and sandy and not weedy.
